This ornate ladies' white gold Gruen watch is rich with Art Deco details. The rectangular 14k gold case is engraved with a delicate floral motif. The "Gruen" marked dial is also engraved with flowers, features Arabic numerals, and has, frankly, cute little hands. This is a 15 jewel watch with a tiny sapphire cabochon set in the stem. The 12k gold filigree watch band is a lovely match to the case. It is removable and somewhat adjustable. The back of the watch case is engraved with a charming floral border and the personal inscription "John to Dorothy May 5, 1925." The watch band is stamped "Sturdy 1-10 12k Pat. 3-11-13."

The Gruen Watch Company was one of the United States' largest watch manufacturers. It was in business from about 1894 to 1958.

Details.....The watch case measures .60" by .95", and the adjustable band is .20" wide. In Very Good Vintage Condition. Small imperfections and wear should always be expected in vintage and antique jewels; we consider it a part of their charm.
