At times Baccarat weights lean toward a modern, somewhat avant garden appeal. Not that this weight is abstract, which it is not, but it does have a certain character. The choice to place brilliant pink lampwork flowers over an upset cushion of pink filigree set against the apposed orange millefiori in the butterflies wings is...bold. The design works, it is modern in all the right ways while keeping to a classical architecture.
